Rolling, rolling, rolling.

Friday, December 31st, 2004

My friends Tori and akp invited us down to LA to visit. We had a ball. And speaking of balls, they gave us a terrific Playstation 2 game, Katamari Damacy. It’s hard to describe, but you play a tiny green Prince dude, and you have to roll a ball around. When you roll over things, they stick to the ball, which keeps getting bigger and bigger. That’s pretty much it. Sounds fun, eh? It is. Really, it’s too hard to describe. Just get it and play it. Experience the quirky goodness. I command thee.

I love this site. It’s dark and bizarre and thoroughly entertaining.

Ahoy!

Thursday, December 2nd, 2004

It’s easy for me to forget that I live near the ocean now.

How awesome is that?

Last night we drove over to the coast for dinner. We didn’t head out until almost 7pm, so it was too dark for the scenic drive through the mountains to be, well, scenic. We had a hilarious loaner car because Arlo’s car is in the shop, but it was downright arctic with the top down so instead it just felt like we were crammed into a teeny tiny car.

The restaurant we picked was a total dive. Arlo’s halibut was undercooked and unpleasant. I still have this freaking cold so I coughed through the whole dinner.

And of course, it was too dark to really see the damn ocean. Here’s the view we had from the car, since it was too chilly to get out and walk on the beach. Plus, I was wearing leather boots and a skirt. And I’m still sick.

Sounds like a pretty miserable night, eh?

Well, it wasn’t. It was great. Just me and my sweetie. Living in California. Hopping in the car for an impromptu evening at the coast.

Excellent stuff.
